Project Overview

Sub-projects

Synthesising Previous Research

There's still so much we don't know about how to design conversational agents, but we can turn to the hard work conducted by researchers before us.

Evaluating Prototype 1

Our team developed a chatbot that conducts motivational interviewing with young people about condom use. What did potential end-users think of it?

Designing and Evaluating Prototype 2

Through user-centred design, and involving both young people and professionals, we developed a chatbot that talks to couples (at the same time) about sex and relationships.

My Team

On the right, you can see how our project was organized.

I collaborated with multi-disciplinary teammates whose expertise complemented my own. We facilitated our working relationship through online meetings, shared documents and kanban boards.

I worked closely with a software developer, who also specialised in computational linguistics, to develop the prototypes.

We also had frequent check-ins with our stakeholder, SOA AIDS, for whom we were developing this technology.
